To Cruise or not to Cruise

Have you binge watched the Love Boat with the crew falling in love with the latest passenger? Do you think that only old people go on a cruise? If this is what you think about cruising, you haven’t learned about all the fun and fascinating activities that are today’s cruises.

Here are a few of my favorite reasons to cruise:

You wake up each day to a different adventure.

Whether you are at a new port of call, or having a relaxing sea day, it is always something new. On many Caribbean cruises, you have four ports on a seven day cruise. That means a new cultural experience at each stop.

When you travel to the next port, you don’t have to Pack and Unpack.

While the ship is headed to the next port, you get to stay in your same cabin. Can you do that on land?

Many choices for Entertainment.

My wife and I are dancers. In the evenings, we can always find a venue on the ship that allows us to get in some dancing. There are also other great opportunities all over the ship, from Piano Bars, to Broadway Musicals, to Ice Skating, Bowling, Casinos, Go Carts or just finding a quiet place to read a book. The possibilities are nearly endless. And best of all, most of the Entertainment is included in your ticket.

Great Food.

Included in your ticket, you get the Main Dining Room. This is a great restaurant that serves delicious food. This is a 3 course dinner that includes appetizers, main course, dessert. You can order multiples of each course, if you see several things you want to try. In addition, there is a buffet that has a large selection of tasty food. Many cruise lines are now adding specialty restaurants that you can enjoy for an additional fee. These offer selections that are only found in 5-Start restaurants. If you are a foodie, you might want to try out one of these specialty restaurants.

Treated like royalty.

I love having a Room Steward that cleans our cabin each morning. Then again in the evening he visits and turns our bed down for us. At the Main Dining Room, we have a 3 Waiters to make sure we have everything we need. As we go around the ship, the crew is always being attentive to our needs. The hardest part about going home is having to start making my own bed and doing the dishes.

Going on a cruise is one of my favorite ways to travel. I always get exciting to walk onto a new ship and start to explore everything on board. Hopefully, I have given you a little taste of what a cruise can be. If you are interested in finding out more about cruise, just let me know. I would love to talk to you and help find out what type of cruising meets your vacation style.
